Hi I want to have a farm of fruit trees like kyat kyat, mango or calamansi, however i dont know if i can plant these trees from seeds. And also i have zero knowledge when it comes to planting fruit trees and having a farm. do u have by anychance have a free seminar on it. where and when?
Thanks for visiting the site, Melanie. Although cheaper to start a fruit farm from seeds, there are drawbacks to using seeds. It takes a long time before you can harvest fruits if you use seeds. Also you cannot predict the quality of the fruits you can get from plants started from seeds. Trees purchased from trusted nurseries are usually of high quality varieties, and the growers will also advice you on what trees will grow best in your particular location and climate.
Free seminars on tree farming are sometimes included in the lecture series conducted during garden shows by horticulture societies.
Good day. I want to start a flower shop business here in Davao, however, i don't have the technical know how on how to go about it. May i inquire when will be your next seminar on horticulture will be? Cha
hi. i am a garden enthusiast since 1995. i just want to raise everyone's attention regarding a traveller's tree (ravenala madagascariensis) which i bought around 2003. i was not aware when i bought it but the tree appears to be dwarf and has subtle variegation. until today, after producing two 'pups', it is still under three feet tall. the variegation is not very pronounced unlike other variegated plants. i actually thought at first that it was some kind of plant disease. i am considering selling the two 'pups'. interested parties may contact me at 0928-662-5924. p.s. i only heard of one other variegated TRAVELLER'S TREE and i haven't seen pictures so please educate me if i am wrong.i will send pictures if necessary. e-mail me at Arvin99e@gmail.com ARVIN N. CASTRO
