Philippine International Flora & Fauna Garden Expo 2008
The Philippine International Flora & Fauna Garden Expo 2008 was held on July 18-20, 2008 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City, Metro Manila with the theme “Bringing Back Nature”. The opening ceremonies were held on July 18, 2008 with Department of Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Lito Atienza, Congresswoman Cynthia Villar, & Rachy Cuna as guests of honor.
Daily lectures were held during the Expo. Here is the list of topics discussed in the Expo.
The Expo's participants included:
1. international and local horticulturists, flower and plant growers, arrangers of cut flowers and artificial flowers, garden enthusiasts, landscapers, and collectors of rare plants
2. traders, suppliers, distributors, experts and manufacturers of garden products and garden services
3. hobbyists, exhibitors and breeders of birds, butterflies, bees, fishes, snakes, and reptiles
4. Filipino inventors and inventions
5. suppliers of nature-based products and services like spas and wellness centers; art and photography; stamps; herbal and organic products; fresh and exotic fruits and vegetables; souvenir items and indigenous products from different provinces; wedding, garden venue and event places; and nature and leisure resorts.
