Los Baños Orchid Society 2008 Mid-Year Show

The Los Baños Orchid Society held its 2008 Mid-Year Flower & Garden Show at the Seniors' Social Garden of the University of the Philippines in Los Baños, College, Laguna on October 10 to 19, 2007.

The theme for this year's mid-year show was "Halamanan ni Nanay", a look back at old plant varieties and old garden styles. The special plant features of the show were aglaonema and dieffenbachia.

Lectures were held during the two weekends of the show, consisting of:

• October 11, 2008 Saturday 3PM - "Growing Fancy-Leaf Aglaonema" by Vic Chin Jr.
• October 12, 2008 Sunday 3PM - "Backyard Organic Vegetable Production" by Geo Rodolfo
• October 18, 2008 Saturday 3PM - "Composting for Beginners" by Ray Lucero
• October 19, 2008 Sunday 3PM - "How To Grow Orchids" by Vic Chin Jr.
